I'm surprised this hasn't come up in here. The long-awaited bill to finally put the long gun registry out of its misery has finally been introduced. It's a private member's bill, which is interesting, though the Prime Minister has been talking it up with groups likely to support it, asking them to help get their MPs to support it ( Read more... )

Hello, I'm a voting Liberal, I believe in peace, healthcare, maintaining a good environment, education and social programs as a long term solution to crime problems, rainbows, and also, butterflies.

Well, have no fear, at least the gun used in the shootings at Dawson College was registered. No information about whether Kimveer Gill was the registered owner, and if so if anything was discovered in the screening process that would have tipped people off.
